An Acai Bowl Recipe for a Super Healthy Breakfast

Ingredients

  • For the acai smoothie
  • 2 tbsp acai powder
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp ground flax
  • 1 tbsp hemp powder
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • For the chia pudding
  • 4 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk warm
  • Toppings
  • Fresh fruits of choice
  • Bee Pollen for the vegan version simply omit it
  • Coconut Flakes
  • Black sesame seeds
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  • Combine the chia seeds and almond milk into a medium bowl and set aside for 15 mins, allowing the seeds to absorb the liquid.
  • Add the smoothie ingredients into the blender and process to obtain a dense, creamy mixture.
  • Divide the smoothie into the serving bowls then add equal parts of chia pudding, and top with your favorite super foods.
