Crustless Quiche with Asparagus and Mint Pesto

I am not a calorie-counter, but given my hormone imbalance condition, I have to be careful what I eat and when. I always look for smart food combinations and try not to eat after 7 pm to allow my body the time to prepare for nighttime regeneration and not turn its focus on digestion. And, if I see an opportunity to reduce calories and preserve the quality of my food, I’ll definitely…

Avocado and Egg Sandwich with Super Seed Bread

Maybe the evening raindrops or the dense clouds from this morning try to hide them, but there are signs of spring everywhere. The extra hour of daylight, the sound of birds, the first fresh nettles cheering up the stalls at the farmers’ market, people sipping coffee or having lunch in the park, those special sun rays from Saturday morning and that smiling gypsy lady selling delicate snowdrops – everything adds just a little more to a good mood, whipping away the winter depression. Whipped Chocolate Porridge with Quinoa Nut Crunch

Two years ago, after experiencing skin issues for a long time, I switched to a fiber-loaded diet to detoxify my digestive system long-term and help it eliminate toxins and old estrogen. At that time, I’d never had porridge before, and I was really curious about it. I made Bircher once and didn’t really enjoy it, then I discovered the classic which became one of my favorite breakfasts ever.

Beet and Ginger Detox Elixir

The first days of January pass quickly, with only a few hours of sunlight and a lot of awareness for every new sound, light, person and little joy of this young year. A lazy sunrise is for meditation and setting up the digestive fire with turmeric tea, while sunset goes by slowly in glorious contemplation, with a ruby-shaded ginger elixir. A favorite this winter, and inspired by one of Heidi’s Near and Far recipes, this is a drink for rooting into the new year and for nurturing the body’s cells to incite their …

Superfood Chia Pudding

The first days of autumn still found the farmers’ market stalls abounding with berries, the last chance to have them fresh and in their full nourishing splendor. While sea buckthorn and rosehip slowly replace the red and pink colors of forest fruits with yellow tones, I decided to give a last chance to blueberries, and pair them with the intense green of spirulina in a detoxifying, yet delicious …
